The questions on politics were primarily concerned with the participants' political views. Participants were asked which party they would vote for, if a general election were to be held later that week. Questions concerning participants political views on a ten-point self-rating scale ranging from "left" to "right". Additionally, participants' subjective assessment of particular political aims (e.g. protecting the right to freedom of speech) was recorded, as was their confidence in a series of public institutions. Apart from political views, participants were asked about their general interest in politics, and their willingness to vote.
